Salamanca market is a street market in Hobart (Tasmania’s Capital City). The market operates every Saturday. It was first established in 1972.
Today’s market has more than 230 stall holders ranging from fresh produce to clothing, designers, artisans, and handmade products. In 1972 there were just 33 stalls and situated near Wooby’s Lane. Today the market stretches the entire length of Salamanca from the Silos to the top end of St David’s Park at Davey Street.
