Nara Dennis

Nara studied viola and piano in Adelaide, Sydney, and Vienna before making Tasmania her home base.

She has performed, recorded, and toured extensively with orchestras in Australia and internationally, including the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonic, Netherlands Philharmonic, and the Auckland Philharmonic. Nara performed with the Australian Strings National Orchestra as Soloist and Principal during two European Tours in 2016 and 2019.

Nara’s pathway to arranging began as an orchestral copyist in the days of manuscript and ink pen, working with some of Australia’s leading composers, arrangers, and orchestras. She has a busy schedule as a music arranger as well as being the violist and Director of Strings on Fire (Hobart) and Paradiso Strings (Brisbane).
